ITCC Advocate Committee

Established in 2021, the ITCC Advocate Committee marks a pivotal step towards fostering closer collaboration between ITCC and the patient and parent community. With a core group comprising six members, each representing a key ITCC committee, and a larger network spanning over 30 advocates from 22 countries, our mission is clear: to enhance access to cutting-edge therapies for children with cancer worldwide.

What We Do

  • Championing patient-centric approaches to innovation in pediatric healthcare.
  • Identifying gaps in treatment portfolios and prioritizing unmet needs.
  • Advocating for equal access to therapies across Europe and beyond.
  • Streamlining trial processes for faster, more efficient delivery.
  • Addressing setup and delivery challenges at national levels.
  • Facilitating the availability of new drugs for clinical trials through collaboration with pharmaceutical companies.
  • Addressing key issues such as funding, design, ethics, information dissemination, and education.

Our Vision

While the ITCC Advocate Committee has made significant strides, our journey is far from over. We aim to expand our network, amplifying the patient voice in partnership with the research and clinical communities. Two-way dialogue and collaboration with national representatives is essential as we seek more efficient ways, grounded in robust evidence, to enhance paediatric cancer treatments.

Get Involved

Whether you're a researcher seeking advocacy support or a patient advocate, charity representative, parent, or survivor eager to contribute, we welcome your involvement. Together, we can drive positive change and ensure better outcomes for children with cancer.
